Can I use this Fingerbot to flip a rocker switch back and forth?

Out of the box, the Fingerbot is designed for a single pressing or clicking motion. To pull a rocker switch back up, you will need to attach the specific loops and arms provided in the Fingerbot Toolpack, which is sold separately.

Do I absolutely need a gateway to use this product?

No, a gateway is not mandatory for basic use. You can pair the Fingerbot directly to your phone via Bluetooth and control it locally within Bluetooth range. However, if you want to control it while away from home, use voice assistants, or set automated timers, a MOES Bluetooth Hub is required.

How long does the battery last?

The Fingerbot Plus operates on ultra low power Bluetooth technology. Under typical daily usage, the included CR2 battery can last for approximately 8 months before needing to be replaced.

Will it work on touch screen buttons?

No. The Fingerbot is a physical mechanical pusher. It is only compatible with physical buttons, tactile switches, and toggle switches. It cannot activate flat capacitive touch panels or digital screens.

Is it strong enough to press stiff buttons?

Yes, the device is designed with a stall torque of 1.6 kgf·cm. This provides enough mechanical force to press most standard wall switches, appliance buttons, and garage door panels reliably.
