Night and day difference!

Have a Roman blind that used to have a fixed anchor point at the bottom of the chain and I installed this in its place. Does the job very nicely and means I don’t climb over the sofa every day. The app is very similar to other smart plug/bulb apps I use and it's got lots of options, including astronomical scheduling (sunset/sunrise). Read the instructions and hold onto them. They weren't written by someone who has English as their first language, but they work and the product works, allowing you to define how far is fully open and how far is fully shut. Also, I was able to fix the motor to the wall using a couple of picture hanging strips (no nails). The kit comes with several cog options, to get the best fit for the chain. It only connects to 2.4GHz wifi, so if you don't have split bands, try connecting it from a space that's at the edge of your wifi range (because your phone will be on 2.4GHz there), and then after you've connected bring the motor to wherever you want to install it. Took me forever to figure out how to open the remote (slide its back panel down). The motor gets slower as it gets near the top because it's lifting more weight, but it's fine. Window dimensions are 143cm x 121cm.
