The ZigBee Gateway Hub acts as a translator between your ZigBee smart devices and your Wi-Fi network. Because ZigBee devices (like sensors and switches) operate on a different frequency and cannot connect directly to Wi-Fi, they require this hub to communicate with your phone app for remote control and automation.

Can this gateway control my existing Wi-Fi smart devices?

The hub itself is dedicated to connecting ZigBee protocol devices. However, within the Tuya or Smart Life App, you can create "Smart Scenes" that allow your ZigBee devices to trigger and interact flawlessly with the Wi-Fi smart devices already linked to your account.

Will my automations still work if my internet goes down?
